What is a Prevention Specialist?
A certified prevention specialist addresses risk and protective factors to build resilient, healthy and equitable communities through a public health model and sustainable change. The Certified Prevention specialist engages with all sectors of a community to ensure funders, service providers, governments, and the community at large are delivering evidence-based prevention and evidence-informed. Prevention specialists demonstrate a thorough understanding of prevention science to include cutting-edge practices, substance misuse and behavioral health trends, social determinants of health and other applicable risk and protective factors.

Cost:

If the exam needs to be retaken due to failing or missing the appointment, there will be an $125 retake fee.
